Somatic Coaching:
Embodying
All that is Possible
What is Somatic Coaching?
We all move through the world in a physical body that has been shaped by the family we were born into, the culture that held us, the spaces that have felt safe - and the ones that haven’t. These experiences determine how we move through, and interpret, that world; not just physically, but in the way we brace, soften, reach, or pull back from these external stimuli. Over time, both our physical shape and internal structure become habit, and we find ourselves confined by our behaviors, often without realizing it.
Somatic coaching invites you to get curious about that shape. What is your body holding, and why does it cling to old patterns? Where did these habits come from? And, mostly importantly, does your approach to the world still serve you?
Somatic coaching doesn’t ask you to rid yourself of familiar behaviors, the tendencies you’ve developed, or the protective instincts that have carried you this far. Instead, the practice asks you to recognize and accept how you’ve moved through the world to this point.
Somatic coaching teaches you to say: “I see you. Thank you for protecting me. I’m working on a different way of being now.”
Through specific somatic practices, learned first in a controlled environment, then applied when the pressures of your life are actually present, this work allows you to begin to shift your shape, and your place in the world around you. From here, a new way of living becomes possible.
Your body holds your history.

Somatic Coaching Services
Somatic coaching unfolds in three phases, all of which are built to answer life’s most important questions: Where have you been? Where are you going? And, lastly, how can we keep you on your new path? Each client’s plan is curated for their specific needs; therefore, some clients may go through the entire somatic process, while others will use pieces of somatic training as part of their overall plan. Let’s talk about what is best for you.
We begin with a conversation. Not an intake form, but rather a collaborative session about what you want for your life, where you feel most like yourself, and where your body feels challenged or constrained. Together, we build a focus for your work that identifies your goals and what changes you’re working toward. By the end of this work, we will have a personal practice plan designed specifically for you.
Orientation
Getting clear on where you’ve been and what you’re moving toward.
After we build your affirmation plan, we dig into the patterns and habits that stand between you and your goals. This phase is about recognizing the subconscious, habitual patterns that your body returns to under pressure - and learning the somatic practices that gently interrupt them. You’ll develop tools for coming back to your physical center and reclaiming the new external and internal shape that you will carry through the world.
Discovery
Learning what gets in the way. And what to do about it.
Change at the level of the body takes repetition, not willpower. In this phase, you move from practicing new ways of being to actually inhabiting them. The work becomes less effortful and more internal. Your new shape starts to feel like home. Kristyn walks alongside you as you integrate these changes into your daily life - from your personal and professional relationships, to your community and the greater world around you. Together, we rewrite your sense of what’s possible.

Your Questions, Answered
-
Somatic coaching is a body-led approach to personal growth and transformation. Rather than working only through conversation, somatic coaching pays attention to the physical patterns and shapes your body has developed over time, as well as how you respond to the world around you. Through specific somatic practices, you learn to recognize these conditioned tendencies, work with them rather than against them, and gradually shift into new ways of being. The work unfolds in three phases: orientation, discovery, and embodiment.

Somatic coaching is a practice, not a quick fix. The process of embodying new behaviors takes time, and, for most, is a lifelong practice. Most clients work with me across multiple sessions over several months. The pace is always guided by what cadence feels right to you, and helps you achieve what you are working toward.

My work with Kristyn continues to be not only incredibly inspiring but also profoundly hopeful. From our first meeting, I was so comforted by her deeply gentle and empathic energy as she learned about how my history relates to my future goals. Kristyn has an incredible gift for sympathetic listening as she works to understand what I keep bumping up against after years of traditional talk therapy. Her compassionate approach to growth has given me such great perspective. I can’t imagine my embodied experiences without having Kristyn’s intelligent and caring guidance. I am so grateful to continue our work together.
